USA Network program director Hillary Shacter who bought the show saw it in syndication and fell in love with it. It struck a chord, I saw it as genuine , as very different, young people telling young people what is going on ,not adults talking down to them.

TV types say the hardest audience to reach is teenagers , because TV rarely shows anything teens are interested in. They might like Youthquake a new youth oriented news and features teen magazine show . Instead of talking down to teens it talks with them . It makes me feel old and I guess that is good.
